Get in touch with Artsplan to find out what we can offer…
Artsplan has been developed to help professionals, volunteers and artists use the arts with socially excluded young people more confidently and effectively. We have developed a mix of training and publications to share ideas and good practice.
Why?
Artsplan has been developed by Artswork, the national youth arts development agency, in response to the growing needs of the Youth Arts sector in the UK. Courses and publications are based upon years of professional experience using the arts with young people aged 12-25 in a variety of settings. Artsplan aims to offer opportunities for professional development, networking, ideas and skills sharing to enable high standards of good practice throughout youth arts.
Who?
Artsplan is for both organisations and individuals currently using or looking to use the arts within their work with young people. Youth Service, Connexions, Creative Partnerships, Arts Development Officers, Youth Arts Workers, Museum Assistants, Arts Venues, Support Workers, Local Authorities, artists and more have already benefited from Artsplan training courses. We have also designed a specific course (Get Sorted 3.5) for young people taking on supportive roles as peer mentors or youth arts workers themselves. Training can be tailored to specific art forms, projects, arts, youth or education organisations as required. View a selection of organisations who have received Artsplan training.
Where?
Artsplan courses can be bought in by organisations and delivered anywhere in the UK, any day or month (subject to availability). Open courses are held at regional Artsplan Training Centre’s (ATC’s) and courses that are progranmmed are aimed at addressing regional professional development needs.
