Jay-Michelle is Programme Manager for both the English National Youth Arts Network (ENYAN) and the Creative and Cultural Employer Network- South Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
Jay-Michelle is responsible for the direct delivery of all aspects of ENYAN, including regional and national consultation groups, events, campaigns, members service and the ENYAN website.
For the Employer Network, Jay-Michelle is responsible for employer liaison and project management- with a particular focus on a new pilot Creative Apprenticeship Programme that is being developed.
Jay-Michelle joined Artswork in May 2005 as our Operations Co ordinator, she managed our national youth arts professional development programme Artsplan as the Artsplan Development Manager for 3 years during which she was responsible for co ordinating a full programme of training courses throughout the year which run in every one of the nine Arts Council regions. Jay-Michelle was responsible for developing the Artsplan training portfolio and still produces and delivers Artsplan courses.
Jay-Michelle has written the following courses: Behaviour Management and Youth Arts, Creative Consultation with Young People, Using the Arts to Develop Leadership, Aspiration and Potential, Peer Support, Careers and Lifeplanning, Guidance and Signposting and Careers in the Arts. Jay-Michelle is a PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) Level 4 qualified trainer.
Her background lies in the field of music performance, flute teaching and circus arts.
