South East Bridge Enter the Brighter Berkshire Songwriting Competition 2017 | Deadline: 30 June

Brighter Berkshire, in partnership with Berkshire Community Foundation and Reading Rock Academy, are calling for young people in Berkshire aged 11 to 18 to write a song focusing on mental wellbeingand be in with a chance of winning amazing prizes and performing at Grand Final in Reading Town Hall on 10th October 2017, World Mental Health day.

Pete Doyle, Founder of Reading Rock Academy Foundation is leading a team of volunteers from the music industry, schools, parents, and mental health sector to run the competition.

The Brighter Berkshire song-writing competition will involve every secondary school in Berkshire to encourage young people to use music to help with their experiences and demonstrate how music can support people through problems with their mental health.
