We are very pleased to announce the first speakers to be joining us for our Creativity & Life Chances conference this November.
Award-winning performance poet and playwright Kat Francois will be delivering our morning keynote. Kat has worked with young people for many years as a youth worker and PSHE facilitator, as well as teaching dance, drama, poetry and performance skills.
Later in the day, Chief Executive of Arts Council England Darren Henley will deliver our second keynote – followed by a Q&A session led by a group of young compères.
This one day conference will give delegates the opportunity to see and hear about the impact of arts and culture on the wellbeing of children and young people. Organised by Artswork, Arts Council England’s South East Bridge Organisation, and compèred by a group of young people, the day will evidence how creativity can be used to enhance existing services and opportunities, through innovative case studies, interactive workshops and inspirational speakers.
More speakers and workshop leaders will be announced very soon.
