Lesley has a vast experience of working across the education and cultural sector. As a practised professional with a focus on creativity in education she works on a management level and also as a consultant and practitioner.
She is well recognised for her work evaluating and assessing arts and education projects/ programmes and develops evaluation systems for a range of sectors.
She regularly works with disengaged and offender groups both in the community and in the secure estate. She recently worked with Artswork to deliver a two year mentoring programme in the North East which trained young people to deliver support and training to those Not in Employment Education or Training (NEET)
As a practitioner Lesley has worked nationally delivering innovative cross curricula work that uses drama and creative writing to support learning about learning and to develop a range of subjects.
Previous work includes FE lecturer, project manager, Artistic Director of a regional theatre company, and Development Manager for a national touring theatre company.
She has recently worked with Creative Partnerships as a Creative Agent for nine schools across the North East and has delivered training to teachers, fellow Creative Agents and creative/ cultural professionals around the country.
