As Programme Manager- ENYAN Jay-Michelle is responsible for the direct delivery of all aspects of English National Youth Arts Network, including regional and national consultation groups, events, campaigns, members service and the ENYAN website.
Jay-Michelle has a wide range of experience and understanding for working with young people in the arts and has direct project experience with young people through having worked for Artswork, Hampshire County Council, Art Asia and the Gantry Youth Theatre.
Jay-Michelle has extensive experience in developing and nurturing partnerships both in and between the cultural and business sectors. Jay-Michelle initiated many of the key investments and partnerships for the Southampton Mela Festival which still blossoms 7 years on.
As a course writer Jay-Michelle co-wrote the successful Artsplan course ‘Behaviour Management and Youth Arts’ and has recently produced a new series of courses; ‘Creative Consultation with Young People’, ‘Peer Support’, ‘Guidance and Signposting’, ‘Careers and Life-planning’ and most recently ‘Using the Arts to develop Leadership, Aspiration and Potential’ all now available nationally.
Jay-Michelle is also a private flute tutor and freelance event co ordinator.
