Artswork Academy Development Manager
Caroline joined Artswork in April 2006 and currently works full-time as the Artswork Academy Development Manager. Caroline’s previous role within the organisation was as the National Co-ordinator for the Big Lottery Funded hub4 project, delivered in partnership with BBC Blast and the Prince’s Trust. Caroline qualified with a BA (Hons) in Theatre and Television studies from King Alfred’s College, Winchester in 1999, progressing to work as Tour Booking Assistant at UK Arts International, working with companies such as Red Shift, Northern Stage and Pilot Theatre Company.
In 2003 she was appointed as Programme Co-ordinator for the Better Choices cognitive behaviour programme in the Wessex Youth Offending Team, working with prolific young offenders across Hampshire. During this time Caroline also co-wrote and delivered a group work training programme for practitioners, enabling them to deliver quality group work with vulnerable young people.
Caroline also works as an Assessor for the AQA Unit Award Scheme, and is a trainer for the Learning Outside of the Classroom Quality Badge.
In addition to this, Caroline has also has recently written a toolkit entitled ArtSmart for UK Youth. The Toolkit contains guidance and activities for delivering the arts in a youth work setting.
