Artswork Aims to:
- Support increased opportunities for young people
- Increase the quality of opportunities for young people
- Promote the sustainability and development of the youth arts sector to ensure the continuation of opportunities for young people
- Encourage joined-up thinking across the varied youth arts sector to promote the best practice and widen opportunities for young people
- Actively promote the sharing of information and resources across the youth arts sector to ensure best quality experience for young people and professionals
- Provide support and access to information for young people and for others including isolated workers and volunteers
Artswork’s Objectives are to:
- Develop and deliver strategic high quality project work with young people
- Develop and deliver specifically designed training courses to young people
- Recognise, promote and celebrate young people’s achievements
- Work in partnership with a range of organisations to support young people and identify progression routes and aftercare strategies
- Lobby nationally and regionally to widen young people’s opportunities
- Raise the profile of youth arts, and young people achievements in particular
- Provide comprehensive high quality training for professionals to improve the standard of their work with young people
- Disseminate high quality publications and resources to support the continuing development of professionals working with young people
- Develop and facilitate the delivery of a national network (ENYAN – English National Youth Arts Network) to promote accessibility and inclusion
