This 3 year £1million arts project with young people was delivered in partnership with BBC Blast and The Prince’s Trust. Funded by the Big Lottery Fund, hub4 was aimed at 16-25 year olds not in education, employment or training.

  • hub4 offered over 8000 arts opportunities for young people;
  • hub4 worked with over 1000 youth organizations;
  • hub4 created over 400 employment opportunities for arts professionals;
  • hub4 provided over 720 accredited training opportunities for young people

Based in four English regions, hub4 was predominantly delivered in Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich and Southampton. hub4 was about giving young people opportunities in the arts, to provide them with new skills and abilities, empower them and raise their self-confidence.

One of the key priorities of hub4 was to put young people at the heart of the project, not just as participants but as decision makers and young arts leaders. Creative learning hubs were established in the regions, providing forums for young people to meet regularly and explore a range of arts activities.
