Caroline is an experienced Youth Arts Manager and Trainer, having delivered projects at local, regional and national levels. Caroline currently works as the Cultural Investment Officer in the Strategy and Innovation Business Unit at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
Prior to this, Caroline joined Artswork in April 2006 and worked full-time as the Artswork Academy Development Manager. During this time, Caroline was commissioned to write the ArtSmart toolkit by UK Youth, supporting Youth Workers to deliver the arts.
From 2006-2009, Caroline was the National Co-ordinator for the Big Lottery Funded hub4 project, delivered in partnership with BBC Blast and the Prince's Trust.
In 2003 she was appointed as Programme Co-ordinator for the Better Choices cognitive behaviour programme in the Wessex Youth Offending Team, working with prolific young offenders across Hampshire. During this time Caroline also co-wrote and delivered a groupwork training programme for practitioners, enabling them to deliver quality group work with vulnerable young people.
Caroline qualified with a BA (Hons) in Theatre and Television studies from King Alfred's College, Winchester in 1999, progressing to work as Tour Booking Assistant at UK Arts International, working with companies such as Red Shift, Northern Stage and Pilot Theatre Company.
Caroline also works as an Assessor for the AQA Unit Award Scheme, and is a trainer for the Learning Outside of the Classroom Quality Badge.
