Sam joined Artswork in March 2010 and took on the role of part-time Administration Assistant in October 2011. This role involves assisting the Operations Coordinator with the day-to day running of the Artswork office and supporting Artswork’s ENYAN programme. Sam was previously Artswork’s Programme Coordinator for the Cultural Takeover programme, a creative work placement scheme for young people aged 14 - 19, supported by Find Your Talent - PUSH. Sam also coordinated the delivery of Artswork’s ‘Champions’ project in the South East.
Sam qualified with a BA in Media with Cultural Studies in 2009. She is currently studying an MA in Media, Culture and Communication at the Institute of Education, University of London.
She also works part-time at the Southampton Guildhall and previously for SoCo Music Project, a not-for-profit community music organisation, having delivered an intergenerational film project and assisting with a high profile youth music festival in the city centre, supporting groups of young people involved with the Catch 22 NCS programme, to organise all aspects of the youth led event (part of Artswork’s Cultural and Creative Employer Network pre-employability programme).
In her spare time Sam enjoys film, live music and photography, with an aspiration to travel and teach.
